Veterinarians are critical players in the fight to stop the cycle of abuse.

By recognizing the signs of abuse and knowing what to do when animal abuse is suspected, veterinarians can make a difference for animals and people suffering abuse. Sheltering Animals of Abuse Victims has created resources to provide veterinarians with information about the link between domestic abuse and animal cruelty, warning signs, how to help clients and patients who may be victims, and reporting abuse. Together, we can stop the cycle of abuse.
