Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. By visiting saavprogram.org, you are accepting the practices described in this and all other policies. This privacy policy describes how we treat personal information collected on our website.

If you complete forms on our site, we collect the information from you that you inputted into our forms or the links you clicked. If you donate to us, we also collect your credit card number and billing information. We collect information about the browser you are using, your operating system, your general location, ISP information and IP address. We use your information to respond to your inquiries, process donations, or to add you to our newsletter.

We do not sell your information. If compelled by law to disclose sensitive information, we will need to share your information to comply with court orders or subpoenas, or if a lawful request is made by a governmental agency or investigatory body.

We use standard security measures, but the internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that the use of our site will be completely safe. We also cannot promise that others with whom you share a computer, or who have access to your computer, will not discover that you visited our site. You may want to delete your browser history, browser’s cache and cookies, or otherwise remove digital traces of your activity, but even then it is nearly impossible to remove completely. Browse in “privacy” or “safe mode” that doesn’t leave traces behind when possible.

If you are a domestic abuse victim and are emailing us, do not use an email account to which your abuser has access. Your abuser may be able to see emails that you have sent or received. Our email account is not monitored 24/7 and, in any event, you should not contact us for emergencies, as we are an all volunteer organization and our response time is not adequate to support emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. You may wish to call the 24 help line for our community partner, Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, who handles the intake for our shelter program for the pets of domestic abuse victims, at (608) 251-4445, or, toll free (800) 747-4045,

This policy will be updated periodically.
